Perspective and Buildings -Stage 1

In each of the three example which follow the red horizontal line represents your eye level and VP stands for vanishing point.

The first stage of putting a building into a picture. This view shows a building which is above your eye level. This is a house on a hill or cliff so you would not normally see its bottom, but you might if it was on stilts or a tree house.

Perspective - Worm's Eye View

The second view gives a building as you would normally want to portray it. Your eye level runs through the building.

Perspective - Building spanning your eye level

The third view has your eye level above the building this would happen if you were on a hill or in or on a taller building.

Perspective - Bird's Eye View

I have not shown the full construction of the roof which will follow in a later lesson. If you need to know now it can be found here (soon).
